Investcorp supports Forever Green in afforesting Isa Town Health Centre

Investcorp made a contribution to the third phase of the national afforestation campaign “Forever Green”.  The contribution will support the planting of trees and shrubs at the Isa Town Health Centre, the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) announced.

The announcement was marked by a ceremony attended by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, NIAD Secretary-General, Rawya Al Mannai, Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services, Abdulwahab Mohammed, Chairman of Private Hospitals Association, Ijlal Faisal Ali Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Healthcare Centres, Yousef Al Yousef, Head of Investment Employment at Investcorp, Mohammed Saad Mohammed Al Sahli, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of entities as well as Investcorp staff and their families who volunteered to plant seedlings.

Investcorp’s contribution supports planting 983 seedlings (223 trees and shrubs, in addition to 760 seedlings of ground-covering plants). It aims to back the efforts of Bahrain’s national afforestation strategy, demonstrating Investcorp’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance standards for sustainable development in Bahrain, particularly those pertaining to contributing to expanding green areas, combatting climate change from carbon emissions, and enhancing air quality.

Mohammed Mahfoodh Al Ardhi, Investcorp Bank Executive Chairman, expressed pride in supporting the “Forever Green” campaign. He thanked NIAD, led by Her Royal Highness Prince Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, for the opportunity to partner with in achieving a greener future.

Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa expressed appreciation to Investcorp for supporting efforts to increase green spaces in the health center, which shall positively impact the community.
